“The Opal Sea”

October 1 – October 8, 2013

The unique historical and archeological creation of the birthplace of opal and the development of the Lightning Ridge opal fields holds a rich and colourful story. The land ‘once was sea and dinosaurs’ created the allure. The watery world of brilliant opal formation embraced my imagination and something magical took place. Intuitively ‘line and colour danced and swirled like hearts would burst’ and formed a friendship of delightful freedom as expressed in my current exhibition, “The Opal Sea”

Exhibition is open daily from 9am-4pm.

Brenda Steiner

“Colour My World”

October 9 – October 16, 2013

Brenda Steiner, local lead-light artist and crafts-woman, has been making stunning elegant leaded glass panels for the past twenty five years. She is now producing lead-lights from her studio home in Lightning Ridge. Her work appears throughout the state in public and private buildings.

This exhibition will display around ten panels, some featuring original contemporary designs, as well as elegant traditional Victorian and Edwardian leaded glass. The work will delight the viewer with a passion for glass art.

Exhibition is open daily from 9am-4pm.
